Since our initial conception in 2018, we have been searching for ways to bring lasting change to the lives of those impact by HIV. What started out as “Not Equal To” is now the “Museum of HIV AIDS Art!” A digital solution to the modern landscape of HIV advocacy around the world. We are pleased to have created a virtual world you can visit from the comfort of your own home. A world where each tree is a dedication to someone we have lost to or is currently living with HIV. Nestled in this digital forest of love, you can find virtual exhibits from people who have been directly affected by HIV. Artists, like our featured artist, from the Netherlands, Bas Van der Kruk.
As a queer interdisciplinary artist who uses physical movement, paint, and text as his medium, Bas Van der Kruk has been exhibited at Apiary Studios in London, UK and Pictura in Dordrecht, Netherlands. Today we are pleased to be a new home for this artist and his art, a project titled Glitter in My Veins. While still a work in progress, we invite you to explore our digital world and meet our guest artist. We look forward to sharing this journey with you as we have so much to do from now until our official relaunch on December 1, 2020. Until then, we look forward to updating you weekly.
For more information please feel free to contact us. We are always looking for artists directly affected by or living with HIV.
